Blair Garrett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vern Paine in the 5th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gav Dimmock in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Blair Garrett saved Weaverham from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Syd Horner in the 10th minute of play forced Paull's goalkeeper Kris Warrender to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gav Dimmock in the 14th minute of play forced Weaverham's goalkeeper Blair Garrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Austin Eadan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Paull's Kris Warrender got control of the ball when Chip Simms tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kris Warrender made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chip Simms in the 22nd minute. Kris Warrender made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Syd Horner in the 25th minute of play. Gav Dimmock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Blair Garrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ritchie Mortimer fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Weaverham's protests and gave Ritchie Mortimer a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Weaverham's Ritchie Mortimer got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 37th minute, Vern Paine got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Syd Horner in the 45th minute of play forced Paull's goalkeeper Kris Warrender to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Paull were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Syd Horner in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kris Warrender prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 55th minute, Chip Simms left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Weaverham fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Paull's zone, Ritchie Mortimer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kris Warrender came out of the goal and Ritchie Mortimer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Syd Horner took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kris Warrender. Kris Warrender dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Vern Paine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Blair Garrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alan Henry hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Kris Warrender showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chip Simms in the 90th minute of the match.
