Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Reg Clough started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Ash Stevens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damian Kidd having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Niall Grayson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Damian Kidd made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Ash Stevens sent off a good shot on target. After 14 played minutes, Blackfen's Isaac McGurk shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Paul Sheene came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Blackfen reached it. Damian Kidd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pete Best in the 15th minute of play. Ash Stevens's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Damian Kidd read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Chip Green succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 19th playminute. Paul Sheene showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John-Paul Prendergast in the 22nd minute of the match. Pete Best sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the game, Seascale City's Ash Stevens nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Damian Kidd made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Reg Clough's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paul Sheene read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Damian Kidd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pete Best in the 35th minute of the match. Seascale City's Paul Sheene played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John-Paul Prendergast in the 36th minute of play. In the 39th minute Reg Clough shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Sheene saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 45 played minutes Blackfen got a freekick which was hit by Niall Grayson. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Pete Best made the kick off in the second half. If Pete Best had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Reg Clough sped through Seascale City's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Paul Sheene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pete Best in the 59th minute of play forced Blackfen's goalkeeper Damian Kidd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pete Best struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Damian Kidd didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Seascale City. A collision led to Blackfen getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Philip Osborn hit a great ball. Pete Best received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Damian Kidd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute Luke Tuck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Kidd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Seascale City booed when Blackfen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niall Grayson didn't get a good kick on the ball. John-Paul Prendergast blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paul Sheene having to make a save. Seascale City's Pete Best got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. John-Paul Prendergast came free with the goalkeeper in the 81st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Paul Sheene could save by the left post. The supporters of Seascale City booed when Blackfen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rufus Porter didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute Charles Waite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Kidd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Seascale City's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
