If Terry Haines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sid Tomkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Scott Draper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sid Tomkin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Scott Draper, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Terry Haines struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Sid Tomkin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for North Kilworth United. Sid Tomkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Scott Draper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sid Tomkin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Scott Draper in the 22nd minute of the match. When Sidney Charie fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored North Kilworth United's protests and gave Sidney Charie a yellow card for diving instead. When Terry Haines came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the North Kilworth United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Terry Haines couldn't finish the play. Sid Tomkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Scott Draper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Crouch End's Sid Tomkin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Scott Draper in the 39th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

56 minutes into the match, Crouch End's goalkeeper Sid Tomkin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Scott Draper. Trev Styles kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 58th minute of the match Theo Peacock shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sid Tomkin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Scott Draper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sid Tomkin having to interfere. Trev Styles hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. North Kilworth United's Jeremy Hylton shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 67th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Sid Tomkin but with some difficulty. Sid Tomkin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Terry Haines in the 73rd minute of play. Sid Tomkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dave Button, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the game, Phillip Hargraves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Crouch End's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave North Kilworth United the free kick. After a rather tough play, Crouch End's Phillip Hargraves got a free kick in the 82nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Terry Haines kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sid Tomkin. That made the score 0-1 in the 89 minute of play.
