Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Adam Clist started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Simeon Wheeler in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sid Tomkin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vance Cousins charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vance Cousins the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Crouch End's Vance Cousins got a free kick in the 4th minute. Crouch End's Sid Tomkin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Crouch End from getting a goal against them. Sid Tomkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simeon Wheeler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vern Lynch got free with Sid Tomkin in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Simeon Wheeler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 28 played minutes Crouch End got a freekick which was hit by Christopher Radcliffe. Sid Tomkin was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Felix Corrigan. Simeon Wheeler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Sid Tomkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Crouch End's Christopher Radcliffe got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Adam Clist did an outstanding performance 37 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 0-1 to the right of an irritated Richard Horsell in the goal. The Dunstable City players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Crouch End were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Simeon Wheeler to strike the kick off in the second half. After 58 minutes, Vern Lynch mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dunstable City and the Crouch End players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 58th minute, Vern Lynch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute Simeon Wheeler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sid Tomkin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sid Tomkin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simeon Wheeler, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. A collision led to Crouch End getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Trev Styles hit a great ball. If Simeon Wheeler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vern Lynch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Sid Tomkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Crouch End's Christopher Radcliffe got a free kick in the 78th minute. Vern Lynch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Stewart Bakewell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sid Tomkin was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. If Simeon Wheeler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Vern Lynch got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cody Ellerby hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. After having played for 97 minutes, Felix Corrigan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dunstable City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Corrigan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
