Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The goalkeeper, Sean Martin, was totally fooled by Oswestry's Benji Bridge, who 4 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After a rather tough play, Redcar City's Benji Turk got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 11th minute, Benji Bridge sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Redcar City's Sean Martin didn't even have to move. Redcar City's Sean Martin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Flintoff in the 13th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Jez Hoskins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Redcar City's Nat Westlake tried to score from far away in the 30th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Keiran Fairbank made a precise shot to the right of Miles Wicks. Oswestry's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Redcar City's Keiran Fairbank got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oswestry's Damian Flintoff got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Damian Flintoff stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Keiran Fairbank managed to get in a good position for a shot. Redcar City's supporters rose to their feet, but Keiran Fairbank was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miles Wicks breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 56 minutes into the game, Sebastien Featherstone was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oswestry's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Redcar City the free kick. The supporters of Redcar City booed when Oswestry was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastien Featherstone didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miles Wicks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marlon Oliver in the 61st minute of the match. Jez Hoskins hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. If Marlon Oliver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miles Wicks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marlon Oliver in the 64th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Keiran Fairbank made a precise shot to the right of Miles Wicks. Oswestry's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Marlon Oliver struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Miles Wicks didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Redcar City. Marlon Oliver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damian Flintoff in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sean Martin saved Redcar City from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jez Hoskins during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jez Hoskins kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Redcar City's Marlon Oliver sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Miles Wicks narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Jim East had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 90 played minutes Oswestry got a freekick which was hit by Damian Flintoff. The Redcar City players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
