Stu Lonsdale in the 13thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Peter Doona, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paul Nelthorpe made a kick off. Jay Hill hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 57th match minute, Harleston FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martyn Prutton to maneuver through the defense. Dymchurch United's Nath Edwards got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nath Edwards in the 60th minute of play forced Harleston FC's goalkeeper Peter Doona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 82 minutes, Devon Sawyer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dymchurch United and the Harleston FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 82nd minute of the game. One of Dymchurch United:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Harleston FC:s goal. The referee gave Harleston FC a penalty, 84 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jay Hill, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Dymchurch United's Josh Hewitt. 3-3. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
