In the 19th minute, Ty Rooney ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bobby Halloran was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Ty Rooney scored 0-3 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bobby Halloran, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 29 played minutes Arsenal got a freekick which was hit by Johnathan Banks. 37 minutes into the match, Arsenal's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Hewitt came free, but Bobby Halloran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 38 minutes of play, Earl Shilton's Ty Rooney made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 91st minute, Ty Rooney reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bobby Halloran. The goal made the score 0-8. Bobby Halloran was a little too slow when Nial Milton got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 94th minute. The score was now 0-9. When the final whistle sounded Earl Shilton left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Arsenal.
