Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Blair Harrison got the match started through his kick off. In the 6th minute there was a penalty for Kirkby. Ed Mann stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Luke Steele. 0-1. Tristram Astridge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Kirkby booed when Lightwater FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Derek Leeson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chip Bilton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chip Bilton struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Luke Steele didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kirkby. Chip Bilton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luke Steele read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. The supporters of Lightwater FC booed when Kirkby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blair Harrison didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Lightwater FC's Lee Walker threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tyrone Story-Moore, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Kirkby's Lee Walker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tyrone Story-Moore in the 32nd minute of play. In the 36th minute Blair Harrison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luke Steele saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Lightwater FC's Tyrone Story-Moore sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lee Walker narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Chip Bilton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luke Steele read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, Kirkby's Blair Harrison nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luke Steele made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tyrone Story-Moore to make the kick off. Blair Harrison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Luke Steele tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tyrone Story-Moore took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lee Walker. Lee Walker dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Luke Steele didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Chip Bilton went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darius Downing in the 70th minute of play forced Kirkby's goalkeeper Lee Walker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute Stew Clough shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luke Steele saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Blair Harrison received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luke Steele came out and tried to block the shot, but Blair Harrison slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 82nd minute. A collision led to Lightwater FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Tyrone Story-Moore hit a great ball. If Chip Bilton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
