Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Rodney Barber made the kick off which started today's match. Senrab's Ron Millman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodney Barber in the 3rd minute of play. If Rodney Barber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kris Day received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Ron Millman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kris Day had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kris Day could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Ron Millman made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Senrab's Archie Bower got a free kick in the 21st minute. Jonny Fairbank showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phil Dickner in the 23rd minute of the match. Gaz Cooper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonny Fairbank having to interfere. Rodney Barber was extremely unlucky when he, in the 29th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Senrab's goalkeeper Ron Millman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 37th minute, Kris Day got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 40th minute Rodney Barber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ron Millman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Phil Dickner came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Senrab fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Phil Dickner couldn't finish the play. Rodney Barber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ron Millman having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Craig Fenton was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 53rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 56 minutes into the game, Tenterden FC's Rodney Barber nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ron Millman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. When Rodney Barber fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tenterden FC's protests and gave Rodney Barber a yellow card for diving instead. Rodney Barber hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Gaz Cooper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 68 minutes into the game, Doug Chalk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tenterden FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Senrab the free kick. In the 68th match minute, Tenterden FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doug Chalk to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodney Barber in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ron Millman saved Senrab from getting behind. In the 72nd minute Rodney Barber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ron Millman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tenterden FC's Jonny Fairbank proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Tenterden FC from getting a goal against them. In the 75th minute, Archie Bower hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kris Day blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ron Millman having to make a save. After some careless play in the Senrab defense, Rodney Barber kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ron Millman. The Senrab fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ron Millman should have stopped the shot. Ron Millman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodney Barber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gaz Cooper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tenterden FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
