Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Thomas Haines started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the match, Marlon Seaward had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leon Wells. Peckham's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marlon Seaward was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 6 minutes into the match, Peckham's goalkeeper Leon Wells had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marlon Seaward. In the 8th minute, Wellingborough's Rex Bird ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Leon Wells. Leon Wells yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Leon Wells was a little too slow when Ian Sparkes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 3-0. 14 minutes into the game, Toby Rush was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wellingborough's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Peckham the free kick. In the 15th minute, Toby Rush hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leon Wells made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marlon Seaward in the 17th minute. Leon Wells showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rex Bird in the 19th minute of the match. With a little luck, Peckham's Leon Wells got control of the ball when Marlon Seaward tried to sneak it across the goal line. Piers Woodford hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Leon Wells showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rex Bird, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. A collision led to Wellingborough getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Reg Griffiths hit a great ball. In the 29th minute, Wellingborough's Rex Bird ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Leon Wells. Leon Wells yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thomas Haines in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sol Marriott prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 47 played minutes Wellingborough got a freekick which was hit by Reg Griffiths. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rex Bird to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Wellingborough's Marlon Seaward nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leon Wells made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. In the 57th minute Ian Sparkes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Wells saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ian Sparkes took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leon Wells. Leon Wells dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. If Rex Bird had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Taylor's late challenge caught a Wellingborough's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Taylor helped the player get up and apologised. In the 68th match minute, Peckham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Taylor to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the game, one of Peckham:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Sid Wood shot the penalty kick right outside the post. 74 minutes into the game, Wellingborough's Rex Bird nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leon Wells made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. After 83 played minutes Wellingborough got a freekick which was hit by Marlon Seaward. Gavin Kessler blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sol Marriott having to make a save. After 85 minutes of play Peckham's Pedro Taylor was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 86th minute, Pedro Taylor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leon Wells showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marlon Seaward in the 88th minute of the match. Peckham's Leon Wells played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rex Bird in the 89th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marlon Seaward in the 91st minute of play forced Peckham's goalkeeper Leon Wells to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Peckham's goal looked a bit too open when Rex Bird came free, but Leon Wells reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 97th minute, CJ Wilberforce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
