The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Colin Folan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. In the 9th minute, Liam Jones got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 12thth minute of the game Billy Locke who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chesham AFC's Den Higgins was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With an all-out effort, Chesham AFC's Rio Edgson threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Colin Folan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Liam Jones fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Den Higgins having to interfere. After 19 played minutes Chesham AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jo Grantham. After recieving a nice pass, Woodlesford United's Shane Coulshaw tried to score from far away in the 20th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After having played for 22 minutes, Liam Jones managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Woodlesford United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Liam Jones was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Billy Locke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the match, Liam Jones had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Den Higgins. Chesham AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Liam Jones was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Den Higgins stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Billy Locke's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Jo Grantham kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liam Jones in the 38th minute of play forced Chesham AFC's goalkeeper Den Higgins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Billy Locke struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Den Higgins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Woodlesford United.

56 minutes into the match, Jo Grantham notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Woodlesford United's Rio Edgson. Rio Edgson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Colin Folan put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Rio Edgson. Den Higgins didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Billy Locke went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Rio Edgson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Colin Folan in the 76th minute of the match. Rio Edgson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Colin Folan, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After 80 played minutes Liam Jones rounded Chesham AFC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Billy Locke got free with Den Higgins in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Liam Jones sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Den Higgins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liam Jones, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 92nd minute Colin Folan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rio Edgson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute, Colin Folan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chesham AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Woodlesford United had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
