Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Sebastian Brighton made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rd minute Sebastian Brighton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pete Cunningham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pete Cunningham was out of position in the 4 minute of play, and Sebastian Brighton capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sebastian Brighton really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brad Crayon during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Huddersfield AFC booed when Evolution was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brad Crayon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 10 played minutes, Huddersfield AFC's Ivan Weeks shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jim Morning came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Huddersfield AFC reached it. Kristian Castledine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pete Cunningham having to interfere. In the 20th minute Paul Leeson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jim Morning saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute of the match, Sebastian Brighton tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pete Cunningham saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 26 minutes into the match, Evolution's goal looked a bit too open when Derek Couch came free, but Jim Morning reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Huddersfield AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ivan Weeks in the 28th minute. After a rather tough play, Huddersfield AFC's Jim Lennon got a free kick in the 28th minute. Evolution's Jim Morning played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Billie West in the 30th minute of play. Jim Morning didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paul Leeson went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 34th match minute, Evolution was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Simpson to maneuver through the defense. Ivan Weeks, 35 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 43rd match minute, Evolution was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Brighton to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Billie West to make the kick off. Fraser Midgley charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fraser Midgley the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 53rd match minute, Huddersfield AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fraser Midgley to maneuver through the defense. 54 minutes into the match, Evolution's Leigh Bullard broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Sebastian Brighton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Huddersfield AFC's Pete Cunningham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristian Castledine in the 67th minute of play. If Sebastian Brighton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kristian Castledine recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Sebastian Brighton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Evolution's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Brighton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pete Cunningham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Huddersfield AFC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Evolution had controlled the match.
