Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when George Prutton kicked off to start the match. When Ambleside's George Prutton in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nottingham's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kasey Holmes got free with Gus Pyrah in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Nottingham's Gus Pyrah got control of the ball when Kasey Holmes tried to sneak it across the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Nottingham's goalkeeper Gus Pyrah had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Niall Warden. If George Prutton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kasey Holmes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gus Pyrah having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Prutton in the 36th minute of play forced Nottingham's goalkeeper Gus Pyrah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gus Pyrah made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Niall Warden sent off a good shot on target. If George Prutton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. George Prutton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Niall Warden during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 47th minute, Niall Warden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
The wind increased when Alec Broadhurst made the kick off in the second half. George Prutton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Gus Pyrah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, George Prutton notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Nottingham's Gus Pyrah. Gus Pyrah was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 64thth minute of the game George Prutton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nottingham's Gus Pyrah was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Nottingham's zone, Kasey Holmes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gus Pyrah came out of the goal and Kasey Holmes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 69 minutes into the match, Nottingham's goal looked a bit too open when George Prutton came free, but Gus Pyrah reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Ambleside booed when Nottingham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abraham Friebe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ambleside's Kasey Holmes got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ambleside's George Prutton got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gus Pyrah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kasey Holmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. George Prutton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gus Pyrah having to interfere. Alec Broadhurst received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Nicholas Lappin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, George Prutton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ambleside's supporters rose to their feet, but George Prutton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gus Pyrah breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. George Prutton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gus Pyrah having to interfere. Ambleside walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
