Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ethan Howarth made the kick off which started today's match. Denzil Furlong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geoff Bowe in the 3rd minute of play. Burnham on Sea United's attack was well implemented in the 5th minute, but when Geoff Bowe was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Denzil Furlong came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Burnham on Sea United's Carl Watkins. But to his dismay, Carl Watkins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Whitchurch's Graham Norton got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Graham Norton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Nelson having to interfere. Ethan Howarth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geoff Bowe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Denzil Furlong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Carl Watkins blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Denzil Furlong having to make a save. Denzil Furlong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carl Watkins in the 57th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Burnham on Sea United's goal looked a bit too open when Ethan Howarth came free, but Oscar Nelson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Graham Norton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Oscar Nelson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carl Watkins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Denzil Furlong made a huge save. Rodd Borrowdale's late challenge caught a Whitchurch's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodd Borrowdale helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Whitchurch booed when Burnham on Sea United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodd Borrowdale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ethan Howarth took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oscar Nelson. Oscar Nelson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Tyler Dewhirst's late challenge caught a Burnham on Sea United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tyler Dewhirst helped the player get up and apologised. Tyler Dewhirst hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After 93 played minutes Whitchurch got a freekick which was hit by Howard Wellings. Denzil Furlong made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Carl Watkins sent off a good shot on target. Whitchurch were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
