The referee ignored Never win a cup FC's protests and gave Jack Windsor a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th match minute, Never win a cup FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jack Windsor to maneuver through the defense. Never win a cup FC's Pierce Hill played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ethan Howarth in the 7th minute of play. 9 minutes into the game, Leon Brook was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Whitchurch's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Never win a cup FC the free kick. A collision led to Whitchurch getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Leon Brook hit a great ball. 12 minutes into the match, Whitchurch's goal looked a bit too open when Jack Windsor came free, but Denzil Furlong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pierce Hill acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 17th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Tyler Dewhirst. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Danil Kalyanov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Never win a cup FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Danil Kalyanov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Denzil Furlong breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Whitchurch's Kris Bass got a free kick in the 24th minute. Jack Windsor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Don Wells sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 38 minutes of play, Never win a cup FC's Danil Kalyanov made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Denzil Furlong was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 42nd minute Don Wells shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denzil Furlong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Don Wells sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Danil Kalyanov to make the kick off. Denzil Furlong was out of position in the 51 minute of play, and Jack Windsor capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jack Windsor really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. After 58 played minutes Never win a cup FC got a freekick which was hit by Fraser Walters. Pierce Hill took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ethan Howarth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute, Fraser Walters hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julian Holdcroft blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Denzil Furlong having to make a save. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Danil Kalyanov put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Denzil Furlong. Jack Windsor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denzil Furlong having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Danil Kalyanov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Don Wells got free with Denzil Furlong in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Danil Kalyanov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Denzil Furlong having to make a save. If Fraser Walters had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fraser Walters struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Denzil Furlong didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Never win a cup FC. 93 minutes into the game, Never win a cup FC's Danil Kalyanov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Denzil Furlong made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5.
