Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Charlie Prendergast started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Dover FC's zone, Steven Creighton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guy Eglington came out of the goal and Steven Creighton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 20 minutes into the match, Dover FC's Alex Westerby sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Caleb Metcalfe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Steven Creighton scored 1-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guy Eglington, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alex Westerby got free with Caleb Metcalfe in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. F.C. Barcelona's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Charlie Prendergast 33 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. Eddy Hooker kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Dover FC's zone, Franz Beckett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guy Eglington came out of the goal and Franz Beckett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 41 minutes into the match, Dover FC's goal looked a bit too open when Steven Creighton came free, but Guy Eglington reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to F.C. Barcelona getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Buster Beck hit a great ball. When Alex Westerby came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Dover FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Westerby couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Franz Beckett made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Charlie Prendergast's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Caleb Metcalfe was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Charlie Prendergast fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caleb Metcalfe having to interfere. Steven Creighton who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Guy Eglington when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Caleb Metcalfe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charlie Prendergast, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. The referee gave Dover FC a penalty, 85 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Warren Whitford, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of F.C. Barcelona's Caleb Metcalfe. 3-2. Alex Westerby might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Caleb Metcalfe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alex Westerby ran back to his position shaking his head. Caleb Metcalfe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Charlie Prendergast's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. F.C. Barcelona's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
