Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Knottingley FC's Walter Lodge started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Orson Orchard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danny Britton having to interfere. Orson Orchard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Danny Britton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Johnathon Maskell notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Honiton AFC's Ben Clarke. Ben Clarke was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orson Orchard in the 27th minute of play forced Knottingley FC's goalkeeper Danny Britton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Orson Orchard could shoot a difficult shot in the 30th minute, which Danny Britton however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jack Pope in the 40th minute of play forced Knottingley FC's goalkeeper Danny Britton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ben Clarke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walter Lodge in the 42nd minute of play. After having played for 47 minutes, Walter Lodge managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Knottingley FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Walter Lodge was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Jack Pope made the kick off in the second half. If Walter Lodge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danny Britton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack Pope, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute, Jack Pope got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Orson Orchard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danny Britton having to interfere. Charlie Busby hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Ben Clarke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walter Lodge in the 64th minute of the match. Johnathon Maskell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ben Clarke read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. 1-2 became the score in the 76th minute when Jack Pope elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Johnathon Maskell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, Walter Lodge fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Orson Orchard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Jack Pope had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Walter Lodge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Ben Clarke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Honiton AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Walter Lodge came free, but Ben Clarke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Honiton AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Knottingley FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Knottingley FC.
