If Allan Murphy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Allan Murphy scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ben Clarke, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Orson Orchard got free with Shawn Warden in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ben Clarke stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Danny Larham's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Ben Clarke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danny Larham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Allan Murphy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ben Clarke was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Danny Larham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Allan Murphy struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. 53 minutes into the game, Moreton's Allan Murphy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ben Clarke made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. A collision led to Moreton getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Simon Hartson hit a great ball. Charlie Busby charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Charlie Busby the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Charlie Busby kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Shawn Warden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jack Pope, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Honiton AFC's Ben Clarke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan Murphy in the 65th minute of play. Ben Clarke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Allan Murphy in the 67th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Danny Larham managed to get in a good position for a shot. Moreton's supporters rose to their feet, but Danny Larham was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ben Clarke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Honiton AFC's goalkeeper Ben Clarke, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Allan Murphy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Ben Clarke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Honiton AFC's Ben Clarke got control of the ball when Danny Larham tried to sneak it across the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, Honiton AFC's goalkeeper Ben Clarke had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Danny Larham. When Jack Pope came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Honiton AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jack Pope couldn't finish the play. Moreton's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
