Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jimmy Farmer got the match started through his kick off. Ed Stamer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimmy Farmer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dennis Boxall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ed Stamer having to interfere. Emiliano Semeno took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rick Cook. Rick Cook dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Andrew Phelps fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ed Stamer having to interfere. Ed Stamer made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Dennis Boxall sent off a good shot on target. Emiliano Semeno's late challenge caught a Black Country City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emiliano Semeno helped the player get up and apologised. Jimmy Farmer hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Black Country City's Rick Cook played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Söderquist in the 27th minute of play. Get Cape Wear Cape Fly's Ed Stamer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Get Cape Wear Cape Fly from getting a goal against them. Andrew Phelps kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Rick Cook showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Söderquist in the 31st minute of the match. After 34 played minutes Black Country City got a freekick which was hit by Jimmy Farmer. If Eric Söderquist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rick Cook took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emiliano Semeno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rick Cook showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Söderquist, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Ed Stamer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimmy Farmer in the 41st minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly's goalkeeper Ed Stamer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Damion Auty. After the first half Get Cape Wear Cape Fly were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emiliano Semeno to strike the kick off in the second half. Get Cape Wear Cape Fly's Loyd Langston got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eric Söderquist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Rick Cook tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Get Cape Wear Cape Fly booed when Black Country City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimmy Farmer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eric Söderquist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Rick Cook tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 61 played minutes Black Country City got a freekick which was hit by Damion Auty. In the 64th minute of the match Christian Cardwell shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ed Stamer showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly's goal looked a bit too open when Jimmy Farmer came free, but Ed Stamer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emiliano Semeno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Rick Cook tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Emiliano Semeno came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Get Cape Wear Cape Fly fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emiliano Semeno couldn't finish the play. Rick Cook showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiliano Semeno, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Rick Cook made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eric Söderquist in the 82nd minute. When Robert Higgins fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Black Country City's protests and gave Robert Higgins a yellow card for diving instead. Robert Higgins hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Cris Sobarzo from long distance, 84 minutes into the match, got Rick Cook's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Ed Stamer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damion Auty, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eric Söderquist got free with Rick Cook in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Eric Söderquist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Get Cape Wear Cape Fly played a much better game than Black Country City and deserved their victory. The Black Country City players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
