The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Oxfordshire FC's Zaq Garrett got a free kick in the 5th minute. Zaq Garrett kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Ronan Patton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Graham Shearer made a huge save. In the 18th match minute, Oxfordshire FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mickey Lindley to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Graham Shearer successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 20th play minute Glenn Sears came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Graham Shearer. 1-0. Brendon Colt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 29th minute, Trey Mumford got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ross Albright showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Junior Elliot, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brendon Colt in the 40th minute of play forced Stockport FC's goalkeeper Ross Albright to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oxfordshire FC's Graham Shearer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Groom in the 41st minute of play. Graham Shearer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Groom in the 45th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Samuel Groom was the one to do the kick off. Graham Shearer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glenn Sears in the 59th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute Glenn Sears shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Graham Shearer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Trey Mumford couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronan Patton in the 90th minute of play forced Oxfordshire FC's goalkeeper Graham Shearer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brendon Colt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ross Albright having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Stockport FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Oxfordshire FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
