Shane Robertson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stewart Currie, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Giles Douglas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ralph Bennet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Crispin Winter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th match minute, Bristol Predators was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andre Carey to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute, Giles Douglas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Shane Robertson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 38 minutes into the game, one of Huyton:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 46thth minute of the game Giles Douglas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Huyton's Shane Robertson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 49 minutes into the match, Huyton's goal looked a bit too open when Stewart Currie came free, but Shane Robertson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The wind increased when Calvin Logan made the kick off in the second half. Calvin Logan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61stth minute of the game Calvin Logan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bristol Predators's Ralph Bennet was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 62 minutes, Calvin Logan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Huyton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Calvin Logan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 64 minutes into the match, Bristol Predators's goal looked a bit too open when Len McGurk came free, but Ralph Bennet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Calvin Logan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Ralph Bennet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 66 played minutes Bristol Predators got a freekick which was hit by Andre Carey. 77 minutes into the match, Bristol Predators's goal looked a bit too open when Shane Fielden came free, but Ralph Bennet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bristol Predators's Ralph Bennet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calvin Logan in the 83rd minute of play. In the 84th minute Giles Douglas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shane Robertson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Shane Robertson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giles Douglas, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Shane Robertson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giles Douglas in the 97th minute of play. The Bristol Predators players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
