Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Kristian Laverick got the match started through his kick off. Kristian Laverick recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cleethorpes's Frank Coyle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Cleethorpes from getting a goal against them. In the 14th minute, Jools Bostock left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Waltham fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Frank Coyle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacob Wise, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Jools Bostock came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Waltham fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jools Bostock couldn't finish the play. In the 19th minute Jacob Wise shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Coyle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Kristian Laverick's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nathanial Croxford was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. After 22 minutes, Orson Radcliffe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Waltham and the Cleethorpes players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 22 played minutes Waltham got a freekick which was hit by Orson Radcliffe. In the 23rdth minute of the game Frank Beckford who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Waltham's Nathanial Croxford was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 42 played minutes Cleethorpes got a freekick which was hit by Syd Hedges. In the 43rd minute, Vincent Halloran fired a really elegant long shot, but Frank Coyle threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jacob Wise to strike the kick off in the second half. If Jools Bostock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frank Coyle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jools Bostock in the 61st minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Waltham's goalkeeper Nathanial Croxford had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Beckford. Kristian Laverick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Nathanial Croxford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cleethorpes's Frank Beckford got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Jools Bostock managed to get in a good position for a shot. Waltham's supporters rose to their feet, but Jools Bostock was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frank Coyle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Jacob Wise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orson Radcliffe kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After having played for 82 minutes, Frank Beckford managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cleethorpes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Beckford was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Kristian Laverick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cleethorpes's Frank Coyle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacob Wise in the 90th minute of play. Philip Burgess charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Philip Burgess the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cleethorpes getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Philip Burgess hit a great ball. Waltham's Jools Bostock managed to work through Cleethorpes's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Jools Bostock dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. During the 96th minute of the match Philip Burgess completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Philip Burgess a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Waltham booed when Cleethorpes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philip Burgess didn't get a good kick on the ball. Waltham's Vincent Halloran couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 97th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cleethorpes.
