Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Edward Higgins started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 6 played minutes Leonel fc got a freekick which was hit by Teddy Laverack. When Nial Love fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leonel fc's protests and gave Nial Love a yellow card for diving instead. David Dennison recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nick Huckerby got free with Howard Burley in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mike Ainge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Dennison in the 19th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Leonel fc's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Drake came free, but Mike Ainge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Leonel fc's goal looked a bit too open when Buster Lawless came free, but Mike Ainge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Aaron Drake had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mike Ainge. Leonel fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aaron Drake was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 34th minute, David Dennison left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Moretonhampstead fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 42nd minute, Aaron Drake got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, David Dennison managed to get in a good position for a shot. Moretonhampstead's supporters rose to their feet, but David Dennison was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mike Ainge breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mike Ainge stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aaron Drake's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Aaron Drake made the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Moretonhampstead got a freekick which was hit by Buster Lawless. Edward Higgins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Howard Burley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the game, Aaron Drake lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Mike Ainge. When David Dennison came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Moretonhampstead fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Dennison couldn't finish the play. David Dennison struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Mike Ainge didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moretonhampstead. If Aaron Drake had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Dennison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Mike Ainge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Dennison blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mike Ainge having to make a save. Verne Slatter hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Edward Higgins struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Howard Burley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leonel fc. Mike Ainge stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aaron Drake's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. David Dennison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mike Ainge having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Aaron Drake fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. David Dennison might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mike Ainge. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Dennison ran back to his position shaking his head. Aaron Drake received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Mike Ainge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Dennison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mike Ainge having to interfere. Moretonhampstead's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
