After a rather tough play, Bristol Fishponds United's Verne Pearch got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Ronnie Carr made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Steven Crane sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Thornhill AFC booed when Bristol Fishponds United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Howard Sollit didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Thornhill AFC fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Thornhill AFC's Ivor Beattie looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thornhill AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Zack Freeman scored to the left of an out of position Ronnie Carr, making the score, 1-1. Isaac Willets showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tris Kerr in the 23rd minute of the match. Zack Freeman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Bristol Fishponds United's Howard Sollit got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute Tris Kerr shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaac Willets saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Buster McGurk kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The Bristol Fishponds United players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Thornhill AFC were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Steven Crane to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Thornhill AFC's Adrian Rockett got a free kick in the 54th minute. Bristol Fishponds United's Verne Pearch was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ronnie Carr in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Stevie Cookson kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After 61 played minutes Thornhill AFC got a freekick which was hit by Sean Maxwell. Thornhill AFC's Ronnie Carr played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steven Crane in the 63rd minute of play. Tris Kerr could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Isaac Willets made a huge save. Isaac Willets made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tris Kerr in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute, Stevie Cookson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Bristol Fishponds United booed when Thornhill AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivor Beattie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tris Kerr was extremely unlucky when he, in the 88th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Thornhill AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
