Thomas Basterfield made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Allan Cotton in the 40th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Seth Easter stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wes Fawell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 60 played minutes Allan Cotton rounded CHELSEA HEADHUNTERS's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. In the 67th minute, Ted Budden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Allan Cotton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Basterfield having to interfere. A collision led to Broadstairs getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Jason Oliver hit a great ball. Seth Easter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Harvey Battersby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Allan Cotton in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thomas Basterfield saved CHELSEA HEADHUNTERS from getting behind. In the 82ndth minute of the game Thom Dobson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Broadstairs's Harvey Battersby was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 85th match minute, Broadstairs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alf Hutchings to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matt Blacknell during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 86 played minutes Broadstairs got a freekick which was hit by Matt Blacknell. 89 minutes into the match, CHELSEA HEADHUNTERS's goal looked a bit too open when Allan Cotton came free, but Thomas Basterfield reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Allan Cotton in the 98th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thomas Basterfield prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wes Fawell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
