Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Shawn Middleton made the kick off and thus started the match. Callum Gale hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After 4 played minutes, Todmorden's Ralph Stubbs shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Karl Cartwright came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Todmorden reached it. 6 minutes into the match, Todmorden's goal looked a bit too open when Joshua Fairs came free, but Will Gardiner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Brian Gregory fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Todmorden's protests and gave Brian Gregory a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Todmorden's Brian Gregory got a free kick in the 7th minute. Ash Sherwood took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Will Gardiner. Todmorden's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fred Midgley got free with Will Gardiner in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 21st minute, Joshua Fairs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Fred Midgley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liscard United's supporters rose to their feet, but Fred Midgley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Will Gardiner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wesley Steadman kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Liscard United's Fred Midgley got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wesley Steadman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Peter Leyburn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Shawn Middleton struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Karl Cartwright didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Todmorden. Alex Cummings kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. If Peter Leyburn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karl Cartwright showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shawn Middleton, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joshua Fairs made a kick off. Peter Leyburn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 54thth minute of the game Shawn Middleton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Liscard United's Karl Cartwright was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Peter Leyburn sped through Liscard United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Karl Cartwright. Fred Midgley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ash Sherwood charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ash Sherwood the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Liscard United getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Ash Sherwood hit a great ball. Karl Cartwright didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Peter Leyburn went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 72 minutes into the match, Liscard United's goalkeeper Karl Cartwright had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Peter Leyburn. 75 minutes into the match, Liscard United's goal looked a bit too open when Shawn Middleton came free, but Karl Cartwright reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Liscard United's Karl Cartwright got control of the ball when Peter Leyburn tried to sneak it across the goal line. Will Gardiner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred Midgley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Liscard United's Joshua Fairs got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Karl Cartwright made an important save on a dangerous shot by Peter Leyburn in the 87th minute. After a rather tough play, Liscard United's Alistair Read got a free kick in the 94th minute. When Fred Midgley came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Liscard United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fred Midgley couldn't finish the play. The Todmorden players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
