Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Caleb Ramsden started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Joel Speed received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Hugh Hooker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caleb Ramsden in the 9th minute of play forced South Ockendon United's goalkeeper Liam Lennon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute Pat Baker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugh Hooker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sean Seaward kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 19th match minute, Selsey AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steven Downes to maneuver through the defense. Tony Redwood-Turner hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 26th match minute, South Ockendon United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andy Atherton to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Damon Waddington managed to get in a good position for a shot. Selsey AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Damon Waddington was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Liam Lennon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jack Cryan hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pat Baker in the 33rd minute of play forced Selsey AFC's goalkeeper Hugh Hooker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 37 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Selsey AFC! When the match had been going on for 38 minutes, South Ockendon United's Stu Leonard got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Hugh Hooker. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 53rd minute, Caleb Ramsden reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Liam Lennon. The goal made the score 1-2. Liam Lennon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Caleb Ramsden's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. After 79 minutes of play, South Ockendon United's Joel Speed made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hugh Hooker was left in no man's land by his defense there! Liam Lennon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damon Waddington, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Glenn Thorn kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the game, Caleb Ramsden recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Liam Lennon. Caleb Ramsden showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-3. 97 minutes into the match, Joel Speed had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hugh Hooker. Selsey AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Speed was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. For all the effort they put into the match, the Selsey AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for South Ockendon United.
