Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Kingswinford's Sonny Hardwick started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Kingswinford's Wayne Argent got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 7th minute, Gav Haywood hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Mr Bean's zone, Giles Gettins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John-Paul Mulligan came out of the goal and Giles Gettins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Alf Mullen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mr Bean's supporters rose to their feet, but Alf Mullen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gregory Widdrington breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mick Thackray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Gregory Widdrington tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Mr Bean's goal looked a bit too open when Pete Conway came free, but John-Paul Mulligan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mr Bean's John-Paul Mulligan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sonny Hardwick in the 25th minute of play. John-Paul Mulligan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Davis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mr Bean's Dean Duffield quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Devon Fearns, made in the 30th minute of the game. If Stewart Butt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Wayne Argent fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kingswinford's protests and gave Wayne Argent a yellow card for diving instead. Wayne Argent kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Mr Bean's zone, Pete Conway stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John-Paul Mulligan came out of the goal and Pete Conway tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. John-Paul Mulligan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sonny Hardwick in the 38th minute of play. Alf Mullen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Gregory Widdrington when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kingswinford's Giles Gettins couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 47th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Mr Bean. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Wayne Argent kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. John-Paul Mulligan made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when William Davis sent off a good shot on target. After 67 played minutes, Mr Bean's Tristram Gamble shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gregory Widdrington came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mr Bean reached it. After 68 played minutes Kingswinford got a freekick which was hit by Wayne Argent. In the 70thth minute of the game Alf Mullen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kingswinford's Gregory Widdrington was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 72nd minute of the match, Sonny Hardwick tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but John-Paul Mulligan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Through an outstanding action, after 74 minutes, John-Paul Mulligan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Mick Thackray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregory Widdrington having to interfere. Pete Conway could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but John-Paul Mulligan made a huge save. The supporters of Mr Bean booed when Kingswinford was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. William Davis didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Alf Mullen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Stewart Butt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregory Widdrington having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Sonny Hardwick dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of John-Paul Mulligan, 0-1. In the 97th minute Dave Gibson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John-Paul Mulligan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
