The audience was convinced that Tristram Courtney's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Colin Bye was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. The supporters of Millbrook United booed when Bakewell United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pierce Proctor didn't get a good kick on the ball.
