Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Derek Partridge made the kick off which started today's match. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Kalischer in the 5th minute of play forced Mossley United's goalkeeper Pat Chambers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 7 minutes, Ozzy Grantham mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tring AFC and the Mossley United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 8th match minute, Tring AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ozzy Grantham to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute George Kalischer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pat Chambers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 11 played minutes Mossley United got a freekick which was hit by Eddie Swift. 13 minutes into the match, Mossley United's goal looked a bit too open when Ozzy Simpson came free, but Pat Chambers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Kalischer in the 13th minute of play forced Mossley United's goalkeeper Pat Chambers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pat Chambers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from George Kalischer went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Pat Chambers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Kalischer in the 21st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Kalischer in the 25th minute of play forced Mossley United's goalkeeper Pat Chambers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Johnathan Faith hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. The supporters of Tring AFC booed when Mossley United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnathan Faith didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mossley United's Pat Chambers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ozzy Simpson in the 29th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Tring AFC's goalkeeper Brian Branston had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alastair Cook. Alastair Cooks short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Brian Branston to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 34thth minute of the game Derek Partridge who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tring AFC's Brian Branston was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 38th minute of the match, Derek Partridge tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Brian Branston saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Alastair Cook could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Brian Branston made a huge save. When Tring AFC's George Kalischer in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mossley United's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Alastair Cook managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mossley United's supporters rose to their feet, but Alastair Cook was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brian Branston breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and George Kalischer made a kick off. Ozzy Simpson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Pat Chambers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute Derek Partridge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brian Branston saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mossley United's Pat Chambers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Mossley United from getting a goal against them. Derek Partridge recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67thth minute of the game Derek Partridge who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tring AFC's Brian Branston was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Derek Partridge in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brian Branston prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mossley United's Pat Chambers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Mossley United from getting a goal against them. George Kalischer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Pat Chambers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Derek Partridge came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Mossley United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Derek Partridge couldn't finish the play. In the last second Pat Chambers throw himself and got hold of the ball when George Kalischer in the 87thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. If Alastair Cook had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ozzy Simpson got free with Pat Chambers in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Tring AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
