Zackary Blakeley stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Shaun Medlin. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicholas Crooks in the 17th minute of play forced Skipton AFC's goalkeeper Shaun Medlin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denzil Booth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Abraham Cooper tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dean Haylock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shaun Medlin having to interfere. Nicholas Crooks recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Denzil Booth could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Abraham Cooper made a huge save. Abraham Cooper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mike Jackson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Denzil Booth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Abraham Cooper tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicholas Crooks during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nicholas Crooks kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. In the 47th match minute, Stocksbridge FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glen Chipperfield to maneuver through the defense.

The wind increased when Nicholas Crooks made the kick off in the second half. After 54th play minutes Dean Haylock shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Shaun Medlin and just under the crossbar into goal. If Mike Jackson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Denzil Booth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, Stocksbridge FC's goal looked a bit too open when Denzil Booth came free, but Abraham Cooper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abraham Cooper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mike Jackson in the 73rd minute of play. Shaun Medlin made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Dean Haylock sent off a good shot on target. In the 77th minute Nicholas Crooks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shaun Medlin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Rupert Downs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Shaun Medlin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicholas Crooks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 92 minutes, Dean Haylock managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stocksbridge FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dean Haylock was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dean Haylock's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Shaun Medlin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play.
