Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Reuben Llewellyn took the kick off in the first half of the match. Roy Anderson kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. After 3 played minutes, Taunton's Jamie Darko shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Adam Holden came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Taunton reached it. In the 8th minute, Leroy Bignot ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adam Holden was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 13 minutes into the game, Leroy Bignot cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Adam Holden was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Leroy Bignot came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Taunton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leroy Bignot couldn't finish the play. After 22 played minutes Springfield City got a freekick which was hit by Roy Anderson. Daryl Wilkins scored 0-3 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adam Holden, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Freddy Grantham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adam Holden having to interfere. In the 36thth minute of the game Freddy Grantham who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Springfield City's Adam Holden was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Reuben Llewellyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Taunton booed when Springfield City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stuart Edgson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leroy Bignot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Stuart Edgson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Josh Craddock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Taunton getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Daryl Wilkins hit a great ball. Taunton's Josh Craddock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stuart Edgson in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute, Aaron Thompson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stuart Edgson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 61 minutes, Reuben Llewellyn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Springfield City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reuben Llewellyn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stuart Edgson in the 63rd minute of play forced Taunton's goalkeeper Josh Craddock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reuben Llewellyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 71 played minutes Springfield City got a freekick which was hit by Rob Osmond. If Freddy Grantham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leroy Bignot recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Taunton getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Syd Hayes hit a great ball. When Johnathan Rothery came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Springfield City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johnathan Rothery couldn't finish the play. Reuben Llewellyn struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Josh Craddock didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Springfield City. In the 90th match minute, Springfield City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stuart Edgson to maneuver through the defense. Springfield City's Adam Holden proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Springfield City from getting a goal against them. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Taunton eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
