Wayne Hopton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Josh Craddock made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Warren Foley in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Josh Craddock prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 30 minutes into the match, Lymington's goal looked a bit too open when Freddy Grantham came free, but Felix Lockwood reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45thth minute of the game Warren Foley who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Taunton's Josh Craddock was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Freddy Grantham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Lockwood having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Warren Foley made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Warren Foley's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Josh Craddock was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. If Freddy Grantham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wayne Hopton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wayne Hopton took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Josh Craddock. Josh Craddock dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Josh Craddock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Warren Foley, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Warren Foley in the 81st minute of play forced Taunton's goalkeeper Josh Craddock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Lymington's goalkeeper Felix Lockwood had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leroy Bignot. Daryl Wilkins got his second yellow card in the match during the 86th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Josh Craddock showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 95 minutes into the game, Freddy Grantham was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Taunton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lymington the free kick. After 95 played minutes Taunton got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Grantham.
