When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Ozzy Strongman put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Mattias Coburn. After having played for 10 minutes, Stuart Stamer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dawcy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stuart Stamer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ozzy Strongman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Mattias Coburn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Dawcy's zone, Phillip Percival stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. William Lister came out of the goal and Phillip Percival tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ozzy Strongman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Mattias Coburn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Ivan Rushforth's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but William Lister was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. After 25 played minutes Dawcy got a freekick which was hit by Marc Boatman. When Ivan Rushforth came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Wirral County fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivan Rushforth couldn't finish the play. William Lister showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phillip Percival, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Dawcy's William Lister played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Rushforth in the 30th minute of play. Mattias Coburn was a little too slow when Ozzy Strongman got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 34th minute. The score was now 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Ozzy Strongman kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mattias Coburn. That made the score 3-0 in the 37 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Wirral County's zone, Stuart Stamer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mattias Coburn came out of the goal and Stuart Stamer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ozzy Strongman to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rdth minute of the game Ivan Rushforth who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dawcy's William Lister was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 67 minutes, Ozzy Strongman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dawcy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ozzy Strongman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Will McAleer kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Stuart Stamer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Dawcy booed when Wirral County was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommy Varley didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ozzy Strongman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ozzy Strongman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mattias Coburn having to interfere. Dawcy's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
