Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Darius Mayfield got the match started through his kick off. Lenny Winterbottom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Jay Devaney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Darius Mayfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 9 minutes, Ian Adamson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Harchester United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ian Adamson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alec Gulliver during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 10 played minutes Harchester United got a freekick which was hit by Alec Gulliver. After 12 minutes, Ian Adamson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Harchester United and the Brentford FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Harchester United's Ian Adamson got a free kick in the 12th minute. Jay Devaney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darius Mayfield in the 24th minute of the match. After 25 played minutes Harchester United got a freekick which was hit by Alec Gulliver. 26 minutes into the game, Stew Parkinson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brentford FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Harchester United the free kick. In the 27th match minute, Brentford FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stew Parkinson to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Harchester United's goalkeeper Jay Devaney, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lenny Winterbottom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the match, Harchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Darius Mayfield came free, but Jay Devaney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brentford FC's Chaz King played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ian Adamson in the 43rd minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kenny Bullard was the one to do the kick off. Jay Devaney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darius Mayfield in the 52nd minute of play. After 52 played minutes Brentford FC got a freekick which was hit by Kristopher Hunter. Chaz King made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alec Gulliver in the 58th minute of play. Jay Devaney made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lenny Winterbottom in the 61st minute. 64 minutes into the game, Harchester United's Kenny Bullard nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chaz King made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Kristopher Hunter was shown his second yellow card after 67 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Brentford FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Kristopher Hunter hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dale Bennet during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 74th minute, Dale Bennet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th minute, Charles Nailor sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Brentford FC's Chaz King didn't even have to move. If Ian Adamson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The Brentford FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chaz King should have stopped the shot. If Lenny Winterbottom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, Darius Mayfield got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 96 minutes of play Brentford FC's Dale Bennet was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Brentford FC's Dale Bennet got a free kick in the 97th minute. Harchester United's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
