Fred Tanner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damien McCartney, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Damien McCartney struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Fred Tanner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stock. Rufus Johnston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Tanner having to interfere. Jack Cuss received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Garry Moyle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute Jack Cuss shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garry Moyle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Stock's zone, Jack Cuss stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Garry Moyle came out of the goal and Jack Cuss tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rufus Johnston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Fred Tanner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damien McCartney in the 33rd minute of play forced Barnetby Le Wold FC's goalkeeper Fred Tanner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Barnetby Le Wold FC's goalkeeper Fred Tanner had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rufus Johnston. Stock's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damien McCartney was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

After a rather tough play, Barnetby Le Wold FC's Kasey Woodcock got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 58th minute Damien McCartney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Tanner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, Timothy Doughty hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 66 minutes into the game, Henry Emberson lined in a short shot 0-2 behind a frustrated Garry Moyle. A collision led to Stock getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Craig Wilkinson hit a great ball. Fred Tanner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damien McCartney in the 74th minute of the match.
