Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gary Mayo took the kick off in the first half of the match. Niall Pye-Finch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfie Charles having to interfere. Gary Mayo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Louie Weatherhead tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Gary Mayo got free in front of the goal in the 9th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Louie Weatherhead was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Gary Mayo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Kenny Corrigan fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Attleborough United's protests and gave Kenny Corrigan a yellow card for diving instead. 26 minutes into the match, Gary Mayo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Selsey City's Louie Weatherhead. Louie Weatherhead was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Louie Weatherhead made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gary Mayo in the 32nd minute of play. Louie Weatherhead showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gary Mayo in the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gary Mayo in the 36th minute of play forced Selsey City's goalkeeper Louie Weatherhead to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Joey Mallon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Billie Scriven in the 46th minute of play forced Selsey City's goalkeeper Louie Weatherhead to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 52nd minute Niall Pye-Finch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfie Charles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 57 minutes, Niall Pye-Finch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Selsey City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niall Pye-Finch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfie Charles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joey Mallon in the 58th minute of play. Niall Pye-Finch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfie Charles having to interfere. Gary Mayo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Louie Weatherhead when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 63 played minutes Selsey City got a freekick which was hit by Cliff Beale. Billie Scriven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Louie Weatherhead having to interfere. When Billie Scriven came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Attleborough United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Billie Scriven couldn't finish the play. Gary Mayo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Selsey City getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Lance Cotterill hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute, Billie Scriven got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cliff Beale kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Billie Scriven received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Louie Weatherhead tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Niall Pye-Finch struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Alfie Charles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Selsey City. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joey Mallon in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfie Charles saved Attleborough United from getting behind. If Gary Mayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 95 played minutes Selsey City got a freekick which was hit by Kev Brodie. 96 minutes into the match, Attleborough United's Christopher Peake broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The Attleborough United players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
