Franz Green stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jake Bramble's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. After 6 minutes, Stu Benbow mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Camberwell FC and the Middridge Village City players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 6th match minute, Camberwell FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stu Benbow to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute Roy Crowther shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kelvin Ridgeway saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Middridge Village City booed when Camberwell FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Marlow didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the game, Middridge Village City's Roy Crowther nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kelvin Ridgeway made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Oliver Morris kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Camberwell FC's Kelvin Ridgeway played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lewis Hollingsworth in the 18th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roy Crowther in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kelvin Ridgeway saved Camberwell FC from getting behind. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of Middridge Village City:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Camberwell FC:s goal. If Stephen Britton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oliver Morris during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 32nd minute, Oliver Morris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Vern Noble, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 36 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Franz Green was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 37 minutes into the game, Vern Noble was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Camberwell FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Middridge Village City the free kick. In the 37th match minute, Camberwell FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vern Noble to maneuver through the defense. If Roy Crowther had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kelvin Ridgeway showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lewis Hollingsworth, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After 45 played minutes Camberwell FC got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Marlow. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jake Bramble stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Stephen Britton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Camberwell FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Stephen Britton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franz Green breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Isaac Clayton hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roy Crowther got free with Kelvin Ridgeway in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kelvin Ridgeway took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lewis Hollingsworth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. During the 79th minute of the match Stu Benbow completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Stu Benbow a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Camberwell FC's Stu Benbow got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 81st minute, Lewis Hollingsworth reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kelvin Ridgeway. The goal made the score 1-3. Kelvin Ridgeway was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lewis Hollingsworth showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 85 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lewis Hollingsworth in the 89th minute of play forced Camberwell FC's goalkeeper Kelvin Ridgeway to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stephen Britton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Jake Bramble had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Middridge Village City eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
