Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Sturminster Newton's Edward Freeman started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Louie Parslow had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Alf Prior put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Simon Young. In the 11th minute Alf Prior shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Young saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Louie Parslow fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Young having to interfere. After 17 minutes, Brad Medley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sturminster Newton and the Milnrow players grew even worse after the yellow card. Brad Medley hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the match, Milnrow's goalkeeper Alan Speed had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edward Freeman. 27 minutes into the match, Alf Prior had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Simon Young. Sturminster Newton's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alf Prior was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 38 minutes into the match, Sturminster Newton's goal looked a bit too open when Alf Prior came free, but Simon Young reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Alf Prior had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alf Prior received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Simon Young tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alf Prior fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Young having to interfere.

The wind increased when Alf Prior made the kick off in the second half. When Alf Prior came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Milnrow fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alf Prior couldn't finish the play. 56 minutes into the game, Edward Freeman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sturminster Newton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Milnrow the free kick. The supporters of Milnrow booed when Sturminster Newton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edward Freeman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Louie Parslow could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Simon Young made a huge save. Jermaine Shaw charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jermaine Shaw the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jermaine Shaw hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Louie Parslow got free with Simon Young in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 69th minute, Louie Parslow fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 76 minutes into the match, Milnrow's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Freeman came free, but Alan Speed reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Milnrow's Louie Parslow sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Simon Young narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 91st minute, Wes Sledge reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Simon Young. The goal made the score 0-4. Simon Young came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Milnrow's Louie Parslow. But to his dismay, Louie Parslow quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. The Sturminster Newton fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Milnrow were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
