Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Edgware United's Jay Knott started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jay Knott in the 5th minute of play forced Neen Sollars FC's goalkeeper Len Wiseman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Edgware United booed when Neen Sollars FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lee Challis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Danny Lockwood hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Edgware United's Jay Knott got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, Neen Sollars FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paddy Griggs came free, but Len Wiseman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Edgware United's goalkeeper Nathan Case, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 35 played minutes Neen Sollars FC got a freekick which was hit by Lee Challis. Jay Knott sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th match minute, Neen Sollars FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eddie Tetley to maneuver through the defense.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iain Daly to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jay Knott in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Len Wiseman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 54 minutes into the match, Edgware United's Jay Knott sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Len Wiseman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 56 minutes into the match, Edgware United's goal looked a bit too open when Joey Simms came free, but Nathan Case reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Len Wiseman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paddy Griggs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 70 in the game by Paddy Griggs from a close distance when the talented Len Wiseman managed to make a qualified save. Neen Sollars FC's players were relieved. When Jay Knott came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Edgware United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jay Knott couldn't finish the play. Sammy Hardcastle took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Len Wiseman. Neen Sollars FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sammy Hardcastle's shot from long distance in the 75th minute was not bad at all, but Neen Sollars FC's Len Wiseman knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. In the 77th minute, Jay Knott got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edgware United's Paddy Griggs got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Paddy Griggs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Len Wiseman came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Edgware United's Paddy Griggs. But to his dismay, Paddy Griggs quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Len Wiseman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paddy Griggs in the 90th minute. Paddy Griggs succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 92nd playminute. After having played for 96 minutes, Iain Daly managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Neen Sollars FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iain Daly was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
