Bobby Oates blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlton Baum having to make a save. A collision led to Walcote getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Keanu Shakespeare hit a great ball. Garry Clegg took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hayden Mawson. Hayden Mawson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Bradley Johnson hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Willenhall United's Bobby Oates got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 15th match minute, Walcote was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Keanu Shakespeare to maneuver through the defense. Nial Morley hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute Robert Billington shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hayden Mawson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd match minute, Willenhall United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Seth Harding to maneuver through the defense. Carlton Baum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kieran Barnfield, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. If Kieran Barnfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlton Baum was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Kieran Barnfield. Dariusz Chlebek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bobby Oates recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Willenhall United's Dariusz Chlebek sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlton Baum narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Kieran Barnfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Willenhall United's Bobby Oates got a free kick in the 44th minute. Jean-Marie Coutaud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Carlton Baum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hayden Mawson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garry Clegg in the 48th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Willenhall United's Hayden Mawson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garry Clegg in the 54th minute of play. After 55 played minutes, Walcote's Bradley Johnson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hayden Mawson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Walcote reached it. In the 57th minute, Dariusz Chlebek left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Willenhall United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Kieran Barnfield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlton Baum having to interfere. Carlton Baum didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Willenhall United. If Bobby Oates had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 91 minutes, Dariusz Chlebek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Willenhall United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dariusz Chlebek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robert Billington got free with Hayden Mawson in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Walcote booed when Willenhall United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dariusz Chlebek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robert Billington recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There was no doubt that Willenhall United were the better team. Willenhall United's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
