Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Lloyd Brook started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Sleaford AFC's Dale Laurie got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Jay Hogg struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Dean Pye-Finch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Workington. After a defensive mix-up in Workington's zone, Lloyd Brook stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lennie Lewington came out of the goal and Lloyd Brook tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 13 minutes into the match, Workington's goalkeeper Lennie Lewington had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dale Laurie. Dean Pye-Finch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tod Stride in the 15th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Tod Stride notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Sleaford AFC's Dean Pye-Finch. Dean Pye-Finch was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sleaford AFC's Dean Pye-Finch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pierre Pearch in the 33rd minute of play. Dean Pye-Finch came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Workington's Tod Stride. But to his dismay, Tod Stride quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. If Lloyd Brook had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Lloyd Brook took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Lennie Lewington to make any attempt to save it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

After a defensive mix-up in Workington's zone, Fred Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lennie Lewington came out of the goal and Fred Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lennie Lewington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lloyd Brook in the 55th minute of play. Jay Hogg hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Santos in the 57th minute of play forced Workington's goalkeeper Lennie Lewington to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lloyd Brook fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lennie Lewington having to interfere. If Jay Hogg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute, Lloyd Brook got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Lloyd Brook had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Lloyd Brook came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Sleaford AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lloyd Brook couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Workington's Jay Hogg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dean Pye-Finch. That made the score 1-4 after 80 minutes of play. Dean Pye-Finch made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Pierre Pearch sent off a good shot on target. Lennie Lewington showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lloyd Brook, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Lloyd Brook managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sleaford AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lloyd Brook was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lennie Lewington breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fred Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Lennie Lewington tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lennie Lewington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lloyd Brook in the 90th minute of play. If Keiran Walton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dean Pye-Finch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tod Stride in the 95th minute of play. In the 97th minute of the match, Mattias Button got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dean Pye-Finch was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The Workington supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Workington would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
