A collision led to Great Lumley AFC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. John Paul Lambert hit a great ball. In the 8th match minute, Great Lumley AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Russ Hubbard to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Baldwin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oscar Myers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Brian Riad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 17 minutes, Daniel Baldwin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Great Lumley AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Baldwin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Brian Riad successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 21stth minute of the game Kyle Hutchinson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Great Lumley AFC's John Breeden was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Daniel Baldwin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brian Riad having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Chris Ferdinand managed to get in a good position for a shot. Great Lumley AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Chris Ferdinand was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brian Riad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 37th minute, Russ Hubbard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oscar Myers stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Great Lumley AFC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Chris Ferdinand hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the match, Great Lumley AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Seb Rowland came free, but John Breeden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, Kyle Hutchinson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. John Breeden was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Great Lumley AFC's zone, Seb Rowland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John Breeden came out of the goal and Seb Rowland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Peter Hassell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kyle Hutchinson struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. John Breeden didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Winchester FC. If Kyle Hutchinson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kyle Hutchinson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christopher Harkness charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christopher Harkness the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 84th minute, Christopher Harkness hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 85 minutes into the match, Ashley Turk sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because John Breeden threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Ashley Turk this time. Seb Rowland who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of John Breeden when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kyle Hutchinson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. John Breeden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
