Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Donald Talbot got the match started through his kick off. Richard Copsey in the 6thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pat Davison, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Pat Davison showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donald Talbot in the 8th minute of the match. Richard Copsey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Pat Davison made a huge save. 12 minutes into the game, Fred Wing was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Telco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Louth United the free kick. After a rather tough play, Telco's Fred Wing got a free kick in the 12th minute. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Donald Talbot took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Pat Davison to make any attempt to save it. After 25 played minutes Donald Talbot rounded Telco's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. In the 28th minute Donald Talbot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pat Davison saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donald Talbot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Richard Copsey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Pat Davison made a huge save. Richard Copsey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Pat Davison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Donald Talbot kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pat Davison. That made the score 3-0 in the 42 minute of play. If Donald Talbot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fred Wing stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Richard Copsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pat Davison having to interfere. Richard Copsey struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Pat Davison didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Louth United. Richard Copsey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Pat Davison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Donald Talbot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute, Richard Copsey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Louth United fans' excitement grew in the 73rd match minute when Louth United's Richard Copsey looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Thomas Slabber charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donald Talbot in the 79th minute of play forced Telco's goalkeeper Pat Davison to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Donald Talbot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pat Davison having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Richard Copsey left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Louth United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Donald Talbot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Pat Davison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pat Davison didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Richard Copsey went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Louth United walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
