Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gordon Sherwood got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute, Tommy Furlong ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frank Kennedy was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Gordon Sherwood managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skipton City's supporters rose to their feet, but Gordon Sherwood was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frank Kennedy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Simeon Hicks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Skipton City booed when BIRMINGHAM CITY FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivor Banim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tommy Furlong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Frank Kennedy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zackary Child struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Vince Lemerond didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BIRMINGHAM CITY FC. Skipton City's Tommy Furlong got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Des Beadle fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Skipton City's protests and gave Des Beadle a yellow card for diving instead. Des Beadle kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After 36 played minutes BIRMINGHAM CITY FC got a freekick which was hit by Allan Blake. Frank Kennedy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gordon Sherwood in the 38th minute of play. Vince Lemerond made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Zackary Child sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Caleb Scholey managed to get in a good position for a shot. BIRMINGHAM CITY FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Caleb Scholey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vince Lemerond breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Vince Lemerond took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zackary Child, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th match minute, Skipton City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gordon Sherwood to maneuver through the defense. If Gordon Sherwood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Skipton City's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
