Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jay Rawson got the match started through his kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Lynton's zone, Tom Rundle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Garth Beadel came out of the goal and Tom Rundle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marty Hopton in the 5th minute of play forced Lynton's goalkeeper Garth Beadel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marty Hopton in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Garth Beadel saved Lynton from getting behind. Marty Hopton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Garth Beadel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Garth Beadel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marty Hopton, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Marty Hopton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garth Beadel having to interfere. Garth Beadel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marty Hopton in the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th match minute, Lynton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jay Rawson to maneuver through the defense. Marty Hopton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Garth Beadel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Godalming's Marty Hopton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Garth Beadel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marty Hopton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tom Rundle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Garth Beadel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Tom Rundle made a precise shot to the right of Garth Beadel. Lynton's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marty Hopton to make the kick off. Tom Rundle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Godalming's Tom Rundle got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Caleb Deighton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 69th minute, Jay Rawson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Marty Hopton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marty Hopton scored 0-2 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Garth Beadel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Lynton's Garth Beadel got control of the ball when Tom Rundle tried to sneak it across the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Marty Hopton dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Garth Beadel, 0-3. After having played for 86 minutes, Tom Rundle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Godalming's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tom Rundle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Garth Beadel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tom Rundle in the 88th minute. Marty Hopton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Garth Beadel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Godalming played a much better game than Lynton and deserved their victory. The Lynton players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
