Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Mike Rusby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tom Bridge having to interfere. Mike Rusby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Tom Bridge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Lemon's goal looked a bit too open when Wally Joynes came free, but Tom Bridge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Wally Joynes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tom Bridge was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Tom Bridge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wally Joynes in the 20th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Mike Rusby managed to get in a good position for a shot. Durham City AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mike Rusby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tom Bridge breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. John-Paul Cryan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Phillip Hammond showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 32 minute of play. In the 40thth minute of the game Wally Joynes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lemon's Tom Bridge was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wally Joynes to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Wally Joynes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tom Bridge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th match minute, Lemon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Avery to maneuver through the defense. It was beautiful to see Durham City AFC's Wally Joynes in action when he in the 58th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! 60 minutes into the match, Durham City AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Hazledine came free, but John-Paul Cryan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Lemon's zone, Mike Rusby stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tom Bridge came out of the goal and Mike Rusby tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Alfred Gomersall fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lemon's protests and gave Alfred Gomersall a yellow card for diving instead. Phillip Hammond struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. John-Paul Cryan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lemon. John-Paul Cryan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Hazledine in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Felix Hazledine made a precise shot to the right of John-Paul Cryan. Durham City AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. 77 minutes into the match, Lemon's goal looked a bit too open when Wally Joynes came free, but Tom Bridge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. John-Paul Cryan came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Lemon's Phillip Hammond. But to his dismay, Phillip Hammond quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. 84 minutes into the game, one of Durham City AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Bryan Charlton placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! The audience thought a goal was coming when Gregory Commons got free with Tom Bridge in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 88th match minute, Lemon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phillip Hammond to maneuver through the defense. 92 minutes into the game, one of Lemon:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. With a little luck, Lemon's Tom Bridge got control of the ball when Mike Rusby tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Durham City AFC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
