In the 4th minute, Eddy Cooke fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Albert Spink, passed just outside the right post. Alf Bullard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute, Chaz Potts made a precise shot to the right of Damien Sargent. Hillhead City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Damien Sargent didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Chaz Potts went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 23 minutes into the match, Hillhead City's goal looked a bit too open when Colin Freeman came free, but Damien Sargent reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damien Sargent showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chaz Potts in the 24th minute of the match. Hillhead City's Damien Sargent played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chaz Potts in the 26th minute of play. Freddy Bright took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Damien Sargent. Hillhead City's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Hillhead City's Damien Sargent played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jamal Scholes in the 29th minute of play. Chaz Potts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Damien Sargent tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Damien Sargent took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chaz Potts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Bedale FC booed when Hillhead City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alf Bullard didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37thth minute of the game Jamal Scholes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hillhead City's Damien Sargent was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Alf Bullard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hillhead City's supporters rose to their feet, but Alf Bullard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albert Spink breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jamal Scholes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Damien Sargent tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Damien Sargent made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jamal Scholes in the 57th minute. Damien Sargent was a little too slow when Chaz Potts got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 0-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kasey King during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 63rd minute, Kasey King hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute, Jamal Scholes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Hillhead City's goal looked a bit too open when Chaz Potts came free, but Damien Sargent reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Hillhead City's goalkeeper Damien Sargent had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jamal Scholes. In the 84th minute, Bedale FC's Iain Beswetherick dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. Damien Sargent stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chaz Potts's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Bedale FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
