If Nathan Beverley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Easingwold AFC's Nathan Beverley got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ashley Downs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tod Wilmott showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nathan Beverley in the 12th minute of the match. Zanzibar FC's Tod Wilmott played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaz Markinson in the 14th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Zanzibar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nathan Beverley came free, but Tod Wilmott reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Billie Ingram showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Owen Addison in the 18th minute of the match. Nial Cheeseman hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Easingwold AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Perry Winstanley in the 22nd minute. Perry Winstanley made a great header on Easingwold AFC's corner, it was just that Zanzibar FC's Tod Wilmott managed to reach the ball for a save. Graeme Beresford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Easingwold AFC's goalkeeper Billie Ingram, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Owen Addison recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nathan Beverley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tod Wilmott read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Dion Burnham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ashley Downs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Easingwold AFC booed when Zanzibar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nial Cheeseman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ashley Downs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Tod Wilmott tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the game, Easingwold AFC's Ashley Downs nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tod Wilmott made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Owen Addison to strike the kick off in the second half. After recieving a nice pass, Zanzibar FC's Rob Hudson tried to score from far away in the 53rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Graeme Beresford came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Zanzibar FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Graeme Beresford couldn't finish the play. Nathan Beverley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Tod Wilmott made a huge save. In the 67th minute, Zanzibar FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ashley Downs fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 69th minute Graeme Beresford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Billie Ingram saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 71 played minutes Zanzibar FC got a freekick which was hit by Matt Poynton. 76 minutes into the match, Zanzibar FC's goalkeeper Tod Wilmott had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nathan Beverley. When Matt Poynton came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Zanzibar FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matt Poynton couldn't finish the play. Pierce Pearce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Tod Wilmott tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nathan Beverley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tod Wilmott having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Zanzibar FC's zone, Ashley Downs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tod Wilmott came out of the goal and Ashley Downs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tod Wilmott took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ashley Downs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Ashley Downs took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Tod Wilmott to make any attempt to save it. When the final whistle sounded Easingwold AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Zanzibar FC.
