In the 2nd minute Robbie Langdon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rob Oldham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ollie Moorhouse hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Alastair Faith made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ollie Moorhouse in the 8th minute. Rob Oldham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Morgan in the 11th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Skegness's zone, Frank Morgan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rob Oldham came out of the goal and Frank Morgan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th minute Damian Hurst shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rob Oldham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alastair Faith made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Blower in the 19th minute of play. Crawley's Alastair Faith played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Blower in the 21st minute of play. Ollie Moorhouse's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Alastair Faith skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Alastair Faith took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Blower, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. John Blower received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Alastair Faith tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frank Morgan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rob Oldham having to interfere. Crawley's Frank Morgan got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rob Oldham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gav Shipton, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frank Morgan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Skegness's Rob Oldham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Morgan in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Skegness's goalkeeper Rob Oldham, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Blower in the 60th minute of play forced Crawley's goalkeeper Alastair Faith to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute, Crawley's Frank Morgan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rob Oldham. Rob Oldham yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Rob Oldham made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gav Shipton in the 80th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Skegness's goalkeeper Rob Oldham had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gav Shipton. Rob Oldham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Morgan, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. When Ollie Moorhouse came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Skegness fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ollie Moorhouse couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Crawley's zone, John Blower stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alastair Faith came out of the goal and John Blower tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 91 minutes into the match, Crawley's goal looked a bit too open when Ollie Moorhouse came free, but Alastair Faith reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Crawley's John Fuller suffered a fractured collar bone after 91 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thomas Swift during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 92nd minute, Thomas Swift hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 97 in the game by Gav Shipton from a close distance when the talented Rob Oldham managed to make a qualified save. Skegness's players were relieved. The Crawley players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Skegness from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
